-CBD stands for cannabidiol, just one of more than 100 cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. The human body naturally produces cannabinoids as part of the endocannabinoid system.
Just like other chemicals the human body produces, cannabinoids help to regulate different physiological expressions in the body. These expressions can have an effect on your physical and mental well being.
Cannabinoids function like a cellular dimmer switch. They can reduce the output of different responses in the human body.
VitaGreenCBD oil is shorthand for any oil containing CBD. There are major differences in manufacturing and production standards between CBD oil makers.
We source all of our ingredients in the United States and test our finished products for a wide range of contaminants. We offer products using several different carrier oils, including our CBD Argan oil and CBD Black seed oil.
Other carrier oils you may see companies using include avocado, hemp, olive, and coconut oil.
VitaGreenOur CBD oil is full-spectrum—that means it contains all of the beneficial trace cannabinoids, nutrients, and minerals from the hemp plants that created it.
Broad-spectrum CBD oil filters out these beneficial additions. A broad-spectrum product doesn’t have the synergistic effects of a full-spectrum oil.
VitaGreenWe recommend looking at your local state laws on CBD to determine whether or not CBD products are legal in your state.
Just some of the factors that can make a difference include:
- What type of plant the CBD used in the final product came from.
- The percentage of THC in the final products.
- State laws on cannabis sales and regulations.
Our products are tested and guaranteed to fall at or below the THC limit required by the United States government.
VitaGreenIn accordance with the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD products that use hemp-derived CBD may contain up to but no more than .3% THC per volume.
Our products are tested and guaranteed to fall at or below the THC limit required by the United States government.
VitaGreenCBD feels a little different for everyone who takes it. A large online study was published in July 2018 that surveyed CBD users found that 1 in 3 users reported an adverse side effect.
These side effects of CBD were generally mild with dry mouth as the most reported side effect by 11.73% of survey participants. This was followed by hunger at 5.39% and euphoria at 3.98%.
The vast majority of users reported no side effects, and anecdotal evidence is building daily. Recent articles from first time CBD users frequently cite better sleep and reduced soreness as just some of the major benefits of CBD use.
We liken CBD to a sunbath. Your mind and body aren’t impaired, but they feel better. It’s a full body feeling where muscles and joints loosen up, mobility improves, and certain pain may disappear entirely or reduce significantly.
VitaGreenScience is still catching up to the profoundly positive changes that CBD can bring about. CB1 and CB2 receptors are the primary receptors in the human body that CBD is capable of modifying.
Cannabidiol actually functions like a dimmer switch, modifying the strength and reach of the signals that your endocannabinoid system sends out.
These CB1 and CB2 receptors can be found in the brain, nervous system, and even immune system tissue. This creates an expansive network that extends throughout your body. CBD modifies the signals this system sends, and in doing so, modifies a human’s response to different stimuli.
A specific example is the CB2 receptor. These receptors are responsible for an increase in inflammation when they are “upregulated” during an inflammatory response. CBD is thought to help regulate this response, and may be the reason why it seems to be so effective at combating arthritis symptoms.
VitaGreenThere haven’t been any formal studies on the effects of CBD on animals including dogs and cats. The anecdotal evidence for the treatment of pets with CBD oil is quite compelling, and the AKC Canine Health Foundation is currently sponsoring a study testing the effects of CBD on epileptic dogs.
Current anecdotal evidence does indicate that CBD oil has the same effects on canines and felines as it does on humans. We recommend speaking to your vet if you have any concerns about treating your pet with CBD oil.
